Other things to note
Sunnybrook sits just outside the village of Shaldon, one of South Devon’s most loved coastal places. It lies beside the Teign Estuary within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, with beaches, coastal paths, pubs and restaurants close by. Shaldon is small, friendly and easy to enjoy, busy enough to feel alive but never overwhelming.
People have lived and worked here for centuries, first farming and fishing, later building ships and trading along the river. Today it’s a working village that also welcomes visitors, with fishing boats on the water, a passenger ferry across to Teignmouth, and a good mix of independent shops and places to eat. Dartmoor, Exeter and Torbay are all around twenty minutes away, making it easy to combine coast, countryside and days out.
A car is useful, but we'd advise is necessary, though you can walk into the village or take the short ferry trip across the estuary as part of everyday life here.
