Shaldon's Highest Point

Shaldon's Highest Point

Best panoramic views in the village

Tucked behind the residential lanes and rising above the rooftops, the path takes you through woodland trails and past hidden gardens before opening out into sweeping views across the River Teign, Teignmouth, and the coastline beyond. It’s the kind of spot where you’ll want to pause, take a breath, and soak it all in.

You won’t find flashy signs or a car park, this is one of those local favourites you stumble across by chance or hear about from someone in the know. Early risers can catch incredible sunrises, and if you time it right in the evening, the golden hour over the estuary is something special. Bring sturdy shoes and your camera, as this is a view you’ll want to remember.
